Location Siopa na bhFíodóirí is located in the heart of Dingle [ An Daingean ], a thriving fishing port at the edge of the West Kerry Gaeltacht [ Irish speaking area ]. Dingle [ An Daingean ] has a very long seafaring history going back to the middle ages and earlier. Traces of its strong 16th century trading connection with Spain can still be seen in the architectural fabric of the town. Nowadays, as well as its fishing, farming and trades people, it has a strong artistic community, representing all fields of the Arts from music and literature to the visual and applied arts.
